About the Network

Holding Hands

The Alberta Abortion Access Network was founded in 2015 by Autumn Reinhardt-Simpson. It is a province-wide network of trained and compassionate abortion support workers (also known as doulas) who accompany pregnant people through the abortion process. Our mission is to ensure that every Albertan has compassionate access to abortion services regardless of race, gender, age, or geographical barrier. Our services include accompaniment, help with travel and funding, aftercare, peer support groups, and more. We also provide several trainings a year in various cities and towns around Alberta.
